Meet the team behind the scenes at Heron's 2 Rosette Restaurant, led by the visionary Chef Alex Kimber. With an unwavering commitment to food excellence, our talented team creates tantalizing dishes guaranteed to delight even the most discerning palates. Infusing their creations with fresh and local ingredients, innovative ideas, and a genuine passion for food, they design every dining experience to reach extraordinary heights.

Executive Chef and Owner
Alex Kimber

Alex worked at Wimbledon as a Sous chef and has worked his art developing and producing food for a wide range of clients that include elite athletes and celebrities.

Alex has been on the Island for the last three years and built The Cottage in Shanklin into an award winning place to dine earning rave reviews and accolades.

 

During lockdown Alex and Laura re-evaluated their situation which lead to the opening of Heron in Ryde.

Dishes at Heron are based on locally sourced and seasonal produce to create high quality fine dining meals.

Mathew & Denise

 

Mathew & Denise have been together for 26 years and always dreamed of moving to this beautiful island.

 

Their Heron journey started with Heron Lounge 

but they have now become an integral part of 

Heron IOW in partnership with Alex. 

​

Keep an eye out for Remus their beloved dog who 

loves to greet customers from behind the bar.


They look forward to welcoming you in for a drink in their relaxed and friendly bar.
